How do I care for my Earrings?

Keep your jewellery looking fresh by following these care tips:

  • To clean jewellery use a cotton bud/ Qtip with either water or rubbing alcohol and gently spot clean the dirty areas. 
  • Store Earrings in a dry and clean and secure place, throwing earrings into a handbag or any old place can weaken jewellery findings and cause hooks and earring posts to detach from Earrings.
  • Remove jewellery before entering the water.
  • Contact with chemicals can cause discolouration of your jewellery. Avoid contact with makeup, perfume and skin products.

Raw Brass components may tarnish or darken over time, these parts can be cleaned with a jewellery polishing cloth or microfiber cloth and a small amount of tarnish remover.

Earring Posts- please do not stand, throw or bend you earrings as this will weaken the post.  

Tassels- If tassels become misshapen use your fingers to straighten strands. Do not brush the tassels as this can cause the stands to come out. Alternatively you can cover the tassel with a cloth and use a gentle iron and press for a few seconds at a time.  

Polymerclay- Polymer clay is quite flexible when cured,it can be easily scratched by other metals. Avoid bringing into contact with makeup, water and other chemicals. To clean use a cotton bud and gently wipe over dirty spots. 

The beauty of being Handmade: Please note all earrings are handmade so there may be slight variances in shape, colour and design, this gives the earrings extra character and uniqueness.

 

 

When will my products be shipped?

All products are sent via Australia Post. We try to send your products off as soon as possible but please allow 3 business days for your products to be sent off and the relative time for postage according to where you live. 

Neckties and Custom Made Bowties are made to order, please allow up to 2 weeks for them to be made and posted. 

 

 

Do you sell wholesale?

Currently we do not supply wholesale.

 

 

Do you sell from a physical shop?

Currently all sales are done online, however we plan to do a few market stalls around Melbourne which will be announced our website and Social Media pages.

 

 

Refund and Exchange Policy

Faulty-Totoka Collections will only refund or exchange any faulty piece within 10 days of purchase. Postage cost for replacement stock is paid by the customer.

Please read care Instructions carefully (found in FAQs) as we will not be held responsible for damages caused by mistreating your pieces or them coming into contact with water or chemicals.

Totoka Collections endeavour to use earring hooks and posts which are friendly to sensitive ears. The majority of earrings are made from either surgical steel earring posts, stirling silver hooks or gold plated (cadmium and lead free) however not all earrings are made with these metals.

Please read the description of earrings before purchasing to make an informed decision as to whether you can wear them. If you love a pair of earrings but would like to replace the hook or stud back with a different metal, this can potentially done at a small cost. Totoka Collections will not be held responsible for any skin reactions caused by these posts.

For Hygiene reasons, NO exchange or refunds will be given on a change of mind basis. All sales are final.
